David has traveled coast to coast teaching financial professionals the art of effective, dynamic communication. He has been a presentation consultant for the sales force and executive management of the Hartford Life & Annuity Middle America Division. He has been a featured speaker on the subject of communication for numerous business associations, and has created and presented customized keynote performances for three of Hartford's national sales conventions. In addition to his work with Hartford, David has coached presentation skills for Merrill Lynch financial advisors, Cargill, and other companies.
A professional actor for over two decades, David has spoken and embodied the words of the great playwrights, and he has professionally directed Shakespeare's plays and contemporary classics for seventeen years. He has written and performed critically acclaimed one-man shows that have entertained thousands of audiences members, and he was a 2006 recipient of the prestigious Bush Fellowship for Performance Art and Storytelling. As a commercial actor, David was the spokesman for Midwest Wireless phones for six years, and has appeared in hundreds of television and radio commercials locally and nationally.
David received a Bachelor of Science of Speech degree from Northwestern University, and went on to receive a Classical Acting Diploma at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He has performed or directed at the Guthrie Theater, the Great River Shakespeare Festival, Chanhassen Theatres, Park Square, Torch Theater, and many others. His original one-man shows have been popular in the Twin Cities and across the Midwest. Before he began training business professionals he was a theatre teacher in a Minnesota high school, and later created a writing and performance program for students that remained at the core of the Guthrie Theater's education department for eight years.
